À propos de ce poste Senior Manager, Data Center Security Engineering chez CoreWeave
What You’ll Do
You’ll lead the physical security engineering team responsible for delivering, administering, and sustaining the technology that protects CoreWeave’s global data center footprint. As the technical and strategic lead for security systems across our data centers, colocation sites, and high-security environments, you’ll help ensure these systems are reliable, scalable, and compliant.
About the Role
This role is part of the broader Data Center Security Organization. You’ll manage a team of engineers responsible for access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, and related security infrastructure. Alongside day-to-day operational oversight, you’ll drive lifecycle planning, research security technologies to improve our systems, help develop commissioning standards, oversee system health monitoring, and support policy enforcement.
You’ll serve as a bridge between Security, IT, and Facilities, bringing people and systems together to support CoreWeave’s global data center footprint. This is a key leadership role with significant cross-functional influence, combining people management, security system administration oversight, program coordination, and quality assurance.
In this role, you will:
- Directly manage the Data Center Security Engineering team, including day-to-day task prioritization, the team roadmap, performance management, and professional development.
- Define and maintain technical standards for access control, video surveillance, physical intrusion detection, and advanced AI security systems.
- Align physical security system designs with enterprise security baselines, cybersecurity requirements, and infrastructure scalability and resiliency requirements.
- Ensure seamless commissioning of physical security systems in construction and retrofit projects. Define and enforce configuration checklists, testing protocols, and operational readiness standards before handover to GSOC or local staff.
- Own the operational health and maintenance of physical security systems, including Genetec Security Center (Synergis and Omnicast) and related components. Guide system patching, firmware management, and troubleshooting escalations.
- Ensure security systems align with regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST 800-53. Provide technical documentation and system evidence to support audits and security assurance functions.
- Plan and oversee replacement of aging hardware and onboarding of new technologies. Maintain inventory control, support vendor RMA workflows, and align lifecycle efforts with budget and change control procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, system integrators, and vendors to ensure delivery aligns with specifications and CoreWeave’s security standards.
- Serve as the escalation point and planning lead for networking needs—including VLANs, IP addresses, and firewall rules—and server resources required by physical security platforms. Partner with IT to support system performance and uptime.
- Lead the creation and governance of standard operating procedures, commissioning guides, configuration baselines, and system architecture documentation for physical security systems across the enterprise.
- Partner with GSOC, Policy, Risk, IT, Executive Protection, and Facilities teams to coordinate system changes, incident response investigations, and strategic planning.
- Act as a stakeholder in policy and standards development across the physical security ecosystem.
Who You Are
- You have 15+ years of experience in security, IT, physical systems engineering, or security technology deployment in enterprise environments.
- You have 5+ years of experience managing or leading teams responsible for physical security system administration or commissioning.
- You have advanced knowledge of Genetec Security Center (Synergis and Omnicast), access control hardware, CCTV architecture, and alarm systems.
- You have a strong understanding of IT fundamentals, including networking concepts (VLANs, DHCP, NAT, subnetting), Windows Server administration, and REST APIs for system integrations.
- You have proven experience supporting regulatory compliance efforts and preparing audit evidence.
- You have strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple concurrent infrastructure initiatives across sites or regions.
Preferred
- Certifications in Genetec Security Center, BioConnect, or access control manufacturer platforms such as HID, Mercury, or Axis.
- A background managing physical security technology in colocation or cloud-scale data center environments.
- Familiarity with security change management, documentation control, and Good Documentation Practices (GDocP).
- Excellent written communication skills and experience developing SOPs, commissioning plans, and operational documentation.
- Demonstrated success leading hybrid or distributed engineering teams in fast-paced, scaling organizations.
