SALARY: $106,400 - $126,350, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Senior Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with Retail Customers, Wholesalers, Category Managers, and Key Operational Personnel relevant to their market. The overall purpose of this position is to deliver Anheuser-Busch sales objectives, including volume, share, distribution, assortment, and execution. This position works under a regional Retail Sales Director. The primary function of this role is to drive growth through strategic retailer sell-in, category leadership, and joint business planning, while partnering with and influencing wholesaler teams to ensure best-in-class execution in market. The KAM position must maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, competitive dynamics, and beer category strategies.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Product knowledge of AB’s entire portfolio
- Develop and execute Joint Business Plans with key retail customer to achieve mutual growth objectives
- Utilize syndicated data and category insights to influence assortment, pricing, promotion, and merchandising decisions
- Identify and sell in new item distribution opportunities to drive volume, share, and POD growth
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with retailer decision-makers and category managers.
- Learn, manage, and own knowledge of the competitive landscape in assigned market
- Partner cross-functionally with Category, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Sales teams to develop customer-specific growth strategies.
- Complete knowledge of both AB & competitive pricing and be able to develop plans to maximize opportunities
- Field day-to-day questions from wslrs and work with strategic partners to find resolutions
- Provide key reporting and insights to internal Region and or office mgmt. to help improve market conditions
- Provide total account management; communicate Regional corporate programs and local brand promotions
- Utilize sales tools (Retail Link, iDig, PBI, IRI, IRI Data Web, etc.)
- Foster relationships with AB field sales and wholesaler personnel, and maintain active communications with key stakeholders in the field
- Evaluate strategies and action plans against allocated budget; manage budgets
- Contribute to development and management of annual account plan
- Facilitate communication of wholesaler’s pricing to chain account
- Provides feedback to management on strategic opportunities
- Provides monthly reports to management on local chains and programming performances
- Coordinates with Marketing team to develop chain-specific marketing and advertising plans
- Educates and influences corporate decision-makers on product promotions
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Local to Phoenix, Arizona
- BS/BA degree required, focus in business, finance, marketing or related field preferred
- Sales and/or Marketing experience preferably in the beverage or consumer package goods industry
- Proven Leadership Ability/Advanced Supervisory Skills/Demonstrated Coaching Skills Required
- Ability to work hours as required (nights, weekends, etc.)
- Advanced computer software proficiency (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint)
- High level of expertise in analyzing information and making information-based recommendations.
- Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software and measures is preferred.
- Effective communications/presentation, follow-up, administrative and organizational skills.
- Field and retail sales experience in the beverage industry or other consumer product industries.
