The Senior Manager, Decision Intelligence leads the team that turns Michels’ enterprise data platform into business value. This role builds and leads Analytics Engineering, Enterprise Reporting, Advanced Analytics, and Data Enablement, helping business and operations teams use trusted data to improve decisions, reduce manual effort, and scale better ways of working. 

This role sits on the Enterprise Intelligence leadership team and is expected to advise senior leaders, manage and develop a team, guide analytical quality, and focus the team on the highest-value opportunities. The team will enable self-service where appropriate, partner deeply where expertise is needed, and own selected business-critical analytics solutions that require long-term reliability and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and lead the Decision Intelligence team across analytics engineering, reporting, advanced analytics, and enablement.
• Advise business and operations leaders on where data, analytics, reporting, or data-driven AI-enabled decision support can improve outcomes.
• Own the decision intelligence roadmap and prioritize work using clear value criteria, including business impact, urgency, adoption potential, reuse, delivery effort, and long-term durability.
• Establish intake, triage, and prioritization practices that balance strategic initiatives, operational needs, quick wins, and foundational capability building.
• Lead delivery of trusted reports, dashboards, semantic models, KPI frameworks, and executive-ready decision materials.
• Guide analytics engineering practices that make data reusable, documented, intuitive, and ready for self-service.
• Lead advanced analytics use cases such as forecasting, diagnostics, scenario modeling, and predictive insights.
• Own selected business-critical analytics solutions through delivery, production support, governance, and continuous improvement.
• Enable users through training, templates, office hours, communities, and reusable patterns.
• Establish standards for metric definitions, reporting quality, documentation, access, refresh reliability, and issue management.
• Partner with business leaders to define expected outcomes, success measures, and value realization plans for major analytics and decision intelligence initiatives.
• Measure adoption, product health, value realization, and team capacity to guide prioritization and communicate impact. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, analytics engineering, data product management, advanced analytics, or decision science.
• 4+ years of people leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, prioritization, and delivery accountability.
• Experience partnering with senior business or operations leaders to translate ambiguous problems into analytical approaches.
• Experience using value, feasibility, adoption, and risk criteria to prioritize analytics, reporting, or data product roadmaps.
• Experience leading enterprise reporting, KPI frameworks, semantic models, dashboards, and self-service analytics enablement.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, BI tools, semantic layers, data modeling, data quality, and governed consumption patterns.
• Hands-on fluency with SQL, modern BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik and data cloud platforms including Microsoft Fabric, Google BigQuery, Databricks and Snowflake
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and change-management skills.
