Senior Infrastructure Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and own modern enterprise infrastructure platforms.
This is a hands-on engineering leadership role focused on platform architecture, automation at scale, and engineering standards. You will define how infrastructure is built, scaled, and operated across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Design and own infrastructure platforms:
- VMware and/or Nutanix
- Windows and Linux environments
- Architect and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks
- Define and enforce engineering standards (IaC-first, reusable modules, code reviews)
- Lead automation initiatives to eliminate manual work at scale
- Own the full platform lifecycle (design, deploy, scale, optimize)
- Design and support Kubernetes / container platforms
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis
- Define and improve disaster recovery strategy
- Mentor engineers and drive technical quality
What You Bring (Required to Qualify)
Experience
- 6–8+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering
- Experience owning and operating production platforms at scale
Technical Requirements
- Strong expertise in:
- Terraform and/or Ansible (building reusable solutions)
- PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- VMware and/or Nutanix
- Windows and/or Linux
- Experience with Kubernetes or container platforms
Must-Have Capabilities
You must be able to clearly demonstrate:
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Ownership of infrastructure platforms end-to-end
- Experience designing architecture, not just implementing
- Creation of reusable IaC frameworks or standards used by others
- Leadership in engineering standards or code quality practices
- Driving root cause analysis and long-term system improvements
What This Role Is NOT
- Not a ticket-based or operations role
- Not focused on routine system administration
- Not an advisory-only position—this is hands-on ownership
Nice to Have
- Experience defining automation or IaC governance (GitOps, PR standards)
- Experience designing Kubernetes platforms at scale
- Exposure to storage, backup, or DR strategy design
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools
