UMG is in search of a Senior Executive, Domestic Marketing to be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Executive to join Universal Music Malaysia to lead and execute high impact marketing campaigns for our roster of artists.

This role requires a blend of creative vision, data-driven thinking, and deep understanding of the music industry landscape, including digital platforms, fan engagement, and brand partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Campaign Management

• Develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies for artist releases (singles, albums, EPs).
• Collaborate with A&R, creative, digital, and promotional teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
• Analyse campaign performance and optimise strategies based on data insights.

Digital & Social Media Marketing

• Oversee digital marketing initiatives across DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.) and social media channels.
• Work closely with content and social teams to create engaging, platform-specific campaigns.
• Leverage trends, viral moments, and fan culture to drive engagement and growth.

Artist Development & Branding

• Collaborate with artists and management teams to define and build artist brand identity.
• Ensure consistency across visual assets, messaging, and fan touchpoints.
• Identify opportunities for audience growth and market expansion.

Partnerships & Promotions

• Coordinate promotional opportunities including influencer collaborations (creator campaigns), and cross-platform campaigns.
• Support live events, tours, and experiential marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field.
• Experience in marketing within the music, entertainment, or digital media sectors is a plus.
• Ability to develop and execute marketing plans and manage campaign rollouts.
• Understanding of influencer marketing and digital engagement strategies.
• Creative, organised, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects.

• Understanding of traditional and digital media
• Good IT skills – must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word & Powerpoint/Canva

• Must be adaptable and able to establish good relationships
