What’s on offer?

We're looking for an Estimator to join our Eastern Region Construction (ERC) team in NSW, with the opportunity to work from our Campbelltown, Dapto or Thornton offices.

Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates across a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects for government and private sector clients throughout NSW.

Working as part of a collaborative Pre-Contracts team, you'll contribute to the development of pricing, methodologies and tender submissions while building strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers. This role offers the opportunity to further develop your technical and commercial skills while making a meaningful contribution to successful project outcomes.
 

What you'll do

• Review tender documentation including specifications, drawings and project requirements.
• Assist with site visits to develop construction methodologies, pricing assumptions and identify project risks.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, scopes of work and resource requirements to support estimate development.
• Compile accurate cost estimates using first-principles estimating techniques and historical project data.
• Source and obtain pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive and compliant submissions.
• Support the preparation and coordination of tender submissions to meet client requirements and deadlines.
• Assist in analysing pricing, identifying risks and opportunities, and contributing to value-driven solutions.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Commercial teams to develop practical and competitive bids.
• Contribute to tender reviews and support the handover of successful projects to delivery teams.

How you’ll connect to the role

Our Civil and Manufacturing team is seeking an Estimator with experience or exposure to civil infrastructure, road construction or related projects. You may come from an estimating, engineering, project coordination or delivery background and be looking to further develop your career within a collaborative pre-contracts environment.

You'll have a sound understanding of construction methodologies and project costs, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes.

Experience with quantity take-offs, cost estimating and estimating software such as Expert Estimation or Benchmark will be highly regarded, however training and development opportunities will be available for the right candidate.
