About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer - ERP to join our Sydney team on a permanent full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing and specifying requirements and design solutions for corporate application systems while providing technical leadership across enterprise ERP environments.
Working closely with customers, stakeholders, and fellow engineers, you will play a key role in resolving complex technical challenges, maintaining platform performance, supporting application development activities, and ensuring solutions meet security, operational, and business requirements.

What you'll do
At the moment, as a Senior Engineer - ERP, you will be focused on:
- Remedying complex technical issues and providing expert consultation to users in line with established support models.
- Monitoring performance across corporate platforms and ensuring ongoing system reliability and optimisation.
- Installing, testing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise system software.
- Defining application requirements and preparing solution designs for development initiatives.
- Collaborating with users and stakeholders on large-scale projects to deliver effective business outcomes.
- Providing technical guidance and support during application development and testing activities.
- Ensuring solutions comply with design, governance, and security standards.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Mentoring and supporting engineers to uplift team capability and technical expertise.
- Providing expert advice to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful project delivery.

What you'll bring
Required Experience
- 10+ years' experience in software development and programming.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in systems specification and solution design within a relevant industry.
- Experience analysing business requirements and designing enterprise application solutions.
- Experience working with large-scale, collaborative technology teams.
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership, consultation, and mentoring.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of current enterprise systems environments and development pathways.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation, and project revenue.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Effective negotiation skills with the ability to achieve positive outcomes for all parties.
- Strong influencing and persuasive communication skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and consultative communication skills.
- Ability to establish and manage budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Ability to evaluate complex technical issues and apply sound judgement to deliver effective solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
Nice to Have
- Experience working within a Tier 2 Service Provider environment.
- Understanding of project management disciplines.
- Exposure to professional and managed services environments.
