This role supports the Engineering Quality & Independent Monitoring Manager in executing engineering quality and independent monitoring activities across GEAC. The position helps assess DOA effectiveness, supports monitoring plan execution, drives findings follow-up, and provides objective input on quality and compliance-related risks.

The role is suited for an experienced engineer or quality professional with knowledge of Part 21 Subpart J, strong systems thinking, and the ability to work effectively across engineering and leadership stakeholders in a regulated aerospace environment.

This position offers broad exposure to design organization governance, monitoring practices, and engineering quality processes, with opportunity for expanded responsibility over time based on business needs, demonstrated performance, qualifications, and applicable approvals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support execution of the annual independent monitoring plan.
• Conduct and support monitoring of DOA processes, approvals, delegated activities, and related quality processes.
• Contribute to assessments of process effectiveness, organizational health, and compliance risks.
• Support findings identification, tracking, corrective action follow-up, and closure.
• Help identify recurring issues, systemic weaknesses, and emerging risks.
• Prepare metrics, summaries, and supporting material for leadership reviews and regulatory engagements.
• Support preparation for EASA meetings, audits, and related reviews.
• Contribute to process improvement and standardization initiatives.
• Work across engineering, quality, programs, services, manufacturing, and other stakeholders to support monitoring objectives.
• Build capability in independent monitoring, engineering quality, and DOA governance.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline.
• Significant engineering experience, typically 6+ years, in gas turbine and/or turboprop engine engineering/quality or a related aerospace environment.
• Good understanding of EASA requirements for approved design organizations, including Part 21 Subpart J.
• Experience in a regulated aerospace environment with structured engineering governance, compliance, and quality processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams and influence cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Characteristics

• Experience in engineering quality, compliance, audit, or monitoring-related activities.
• Experience supporting regulatory audits or authority interactions.
• Familiarity with findings management, corrective actions, and root cause/problem-solving methods.
• Ability to drive closure across organizational boundaries.

• Annual bonus up to 30 % of yearly salary.
