Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Senior EDA / CAD Engineer for one of our partners, an IT Services and IT Consulting company.

THE ROLE

Every simulation, regression and signoff run depends on the tools and infrastructure you build. You'll own the EDA flows and CAD environment behind full SoC development, from licensing and compute farms to CI/CD and AI assisted tooling, so the design teams can focus on the chip and not on the tools.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Define, deploy and maintain EDA flows for simulation, synthesis, place and route, DFT and signoff
• Evaluate, benchmark and qualify new tools and releases from Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens EDA and Arteris
• Design and run Linux compute farms, distributed storage (NFS and parallel file systems), backup and disaster recovery
• Manage license servers (FlexLM/Flexera), licensing strategy and capacity planning
• Build automation for tool installation, regressions and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Integrate AI and LLM based tooling into engineering workflows, such as debug assistance, log analysis and knowledge retrieval
• Act as the main technical contact with EDA vendors and report on tool performance and usage
• Support security and compliance requirements, including ISO 27001 environments

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of experience in EDA or CAD engineering for semiconductor design
• Strong experience with full EDA flows and tools from Cadence, Synopsys and Siemens EDA
• Hands on experience with EDA licensing, tool versioning and release management
• Solid background in Linux compute farms, distributed storage and CI/CD
• Scripting in Python, Perl, Shell and Tcl
• Good understanding of RTL design, verification and physical design flows
• Practical experience with AI or LLM tooling integration is a strong plus
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 or DO-254 is a plus
