Your Impact
As Senior Director, Origination, you’ll lead AirTrunk’s most significant development opportunities in your market, taking each deal from its earliest formation through approval and execution. As Deal Captain, you’ll bring the right people together, shape a clear path forward and make sure commercial, technical, financial, legal and delivery considerations are addressed early. It’s a high-impact role for a trusted commercial leader who can build momentum, strengthen decision-making and guide complex opportunities through change.
You’ll work across teams including Customer Success, Site Selection, Energy, Development, Strategic Delivery, Finance, Legal and Operations, while building strong relationships with shareholders, advisers, government stakeholders and partners. You’ll lead negotiations, test the commercial case, surface risks and give senior leaders clear recommendations to support confident decisions. You’ll also help refine AirTrunk’s Deal Captain approach across markets—sharing what works and raising the standard of how we bring major opportunities to life.
What You'll Do
Lead material opportunities from initial formation through approval, giving each deal a clear strategic rationale, accountable owner, workplan and decision pathway. You’ll translate customer requirements, land opportunities, delivery constraints and capital considerations into a robust business case, while guiding negotiations and aligning internal stakeholders around AirTrunk’s commercial position.
You’ll keep deal teams focused through effective meetings, stage-gate discipline and clear decision materials, ensuring actions, assumptions, risks and approvals stay current. Once an opportunity is approved, you’ll prepare a thorough handover to the strategic delivery team, while coaching colleagues and strengthening cross-functional ways of working across APJ.
What You'll Bring
- Significant experience originating, structuring and negotiating complex development, infrastructure, real estate or data centre opportunities, ideally across APJ markets.
- Demonstrated track record leading multi-disciplinary teams through ambiguous, high-value transactions or development opportunities from formation to approval or close.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including business case development, integrated underwriting, negotiation strategy and risk-adjusted return assessment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the credibility to influence senior leaders, customers, landowners, governments, advisers and delivery partners.
- Sound judgement, resilience and operating discipline, with the ability to prioritise, make timely decisions and maintain momentum under pressure.
- A collaborative, low-ego leadership style and a commitment to AirTrunk’s values, safety, sustainability and high-performance culture.
