About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Director of Information Technology to lead the full spectrum of internal technology at a high-growth AI infrastructure company. This role oversees three core functions: IT Service Desk (end-user support and service delivery), IT Systems Engineering (infrastructure, networking, and systems administration), and Enterprise Technology (business system administration, vendor management, and platform configuration). This is an opportunity to lead a technology organization at a company that is itself building the infrastructure that makes AI possible.
What You'll Be Working On:
Lead a technology organization spanning service desk, infrastructure, and business systems, with direct reports at the Director and Senior Manager level.
Define and own the multi-year enterprise technology roadmap — assessing current architecture, forming a clear technical opinion on the target state, and guiding technical teams and business stakeholders toward alignment and execution against that vision.
Champion AI adoption across IT operations — leveraging AI to automate workflows, increase team capacity, and reduce manual effort at scale.
Set the strategic vision for how internal technology enables business growth — from end-user support through foundational infrastructure and business systems to automation.
Oversee identity and access management (directory services, SSO, MFA, role-based access controls) and the complete IT asset management lifecycle.
Oversee IT Service Desk: end-user support, service delivery, and service level management.
Oversee IT Systems Engineering: infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, and systems administration.
Oversee Enterprise Technology: administration, configuration, and vendor management for core business platforms.
Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and technology budgets across all functions.
Partner with Security, GRC, and Compliance to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
Partner with business leadership across Finance, Operations, HR, and Legal to prioritize and deliver.
Report on technology health, delivery throughput, and investment efficiency to executive leadership.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
12+ years in technology leadership, with at least 5 years managing multi-function IT organizations spanning infrastructure, business systems, and engineering.
Direct experience leading large-scale ERP implementations or transformations (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar) — including vendor selection, system design, data migration, change management, and post-go-live stabilization.
Track record of building and scaling teams — hiring leaders, developing talent, and creating structure in a growth environment.
Experience with or strong understanding of AI-assisted development and modern software delivery. Experience in compliance-regulated environments (SOX, SOC 2, or equivalent) without letting compliance become an obstacle to delivery.
Proven cross-functional partnership — this role serves every business function and requires trust and the ability to translate between technical and non-technical leaders.
Strong vendor management, contract negotiation, and build-vs-buy decision-making experience.
Executive communication skills — technology strategy, risk, and investment tradeoffs to C-suite leadership.
Experience in a high-growth environment where speed matters and process must be built alongside delivery.
Bonus Points
Experience at an infrastructure, cloud, or AI company.
Experience leading technology modernization or transformation — actively evolving how technology is delivered, not just maintaining what exists.
Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure environments including public cloud and private cloud.
MBA or equivalent business strategy experience.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
