Senior DevOps Engineer (Tech Management Section)

The Tech Management Section boasts a highly motivated, skilled, talented, and collaborative team distributed across Japan, Singapore, India, and China — building and operating DevOps platforms for Public Cloud adoption, CICD, Monitoring, Automation, Security and AIOps.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of DevOps delivery for our Global Ad Technology Department (GATD) service teams. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, automation, and observability and security and excels at driving operational excellence, proactively evaluating and recommending tools and technologies that improve team delivery and service quality. Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to serve as the primary DevOps point of contact for GATD service teams — supporting them in building, deploying, monitoring, and operating their services while managing complete infrastructure aligned to both business demands and technical standards.

• Serve as the primary DevOps point of contact for assigned GATD service teams — supporting them in building, deploying, monitoring, and operating their services in collaboration with cross-functional teams (development, product, QA, security) across multiple locations (Singapore, Japan, India, China, etc.).
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability platforms for GATD service teams — ensuring reliable delivery processes, high availability, and proactive detection of issues.
• Automate routine production and non-production operations using standard tooling such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Shell scripting, etc.; manage containerised workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent platforms.
• Provision and manage public cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC); plan and execute Lifecycle management (LCM) activities including public cloud migrations, upgrades, EOL, and platform version management.
• Integrate security fundamentals into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure — including vulnerability scanning, secret management, and secure configuration practices.
• Own critical incidents end-to-end — from immediate response through root cause analysis and long-term fixes — ensuring systemic resolution rather than one-off fixes; serve as a technical escalation point.
• Evaluate and implement AI-driven tooling and emerging technologies to improve productivity, operational quality, and delivery efficiency for the team and GATD service teams.

Qualifications: Must-have

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, independently handling high-traffic production systems (server, middleware, database, and application layers)
• Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent; familiarity with artifact management tools (Nexus, Artifactory) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef) and containerisation platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent)
• Experience with public cloud platforms (preferably GCP) including infrastructure setup, management, and migration. Able to handle VPC networking.
• Strong UNIX/Linux system administration skills including networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, trace and log analysis)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, or equivalent) for automation and operational tooling
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of security fundamentals in a DevOps context — vulnerability scanning, secret management, and secure configuration practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across cross-functional teams in multiple locations; proficiency in English is essential
• Flexible for emergency on-call support timing based on the business requirement. Must adapt to business needs in terms of working hours including non-business hour emergency support for critical issues.

Qualifications: Nice-to-have

• Experience with Hybrid Cloud and Multi-Cloud architecture
• Experience with service mesh or advanced deployment technologies (Istio, Argo CD, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with AI-driven DevOps tooling and its application in operational workflows
• Experience in a release or change coordinator capacity within a mature CI/CD environment
• Experience with databases like Couchbase, MongoDB, Redis, MySQL
• Knowledge of online AD or marketing business and related technologies
