Senior Delivery Manager, Platform
Location: Germany
The role and the team
As a Senior Delivery Manager (all genders), you'll own delivery for one of Lucanet's core platform teams — the team that provides the shared capabilities, platform services, and infrastructure supporting multiple product areas across the business. You're accountable for what ships, when, and at what quality.
Unlike feature-focused product teams, our Platform team works within a highly interconnected environment where changes can ripple across multiple solutions. You'll work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Software Engineers to keep delivery moving, spotting dependencies, risks, and blockers before they slow anyone down. We look for people who keep growing, take real ownership, and lift the people around them.
What you'll do
- Drive project planning, coordination, and delivery activities across engineering & product teams.
- Identify, track, and manage dependencies across multiple teams and initiatives.
- Proactively surface risks, blockers, and delivery challenges, and facilitate resolution.
- Coordinate communication between Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Own the follow-through — drive decisions to closure and make sure commitments made across teams are actually delivered.
- Support resource planning and flag capacity constraints affecting delivery.
- Facilitate collaboration when operational issues, support requests, or competing priorities arise.
- Help continuously improve delivery processes, adapting ways of working to team and business needs.
- Define, introduce, and monitor delivery KPIs, quality metrics, and project reporting frameworks.
What you bring
You have:
- A background as a Delivery Manager or Project Manager who has owned delivery end to end — not just facilitated ceremonies. You take accountability for outcomes, timelines, and the decisions in between, across multiple software engineering teams working in Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid Agile setups.
- A track record of running projects, not just meetings: you drive plans forward, chase the open ends, and make sure things land — rather than waiting for someone else to pick them up.
- Solid understanding of Agile software delivery practices and SDLC processes, with the judgement to adapt them rather than apply them by the book.
- Experience owning cross-team dependencies: mapping them early, negotiating the sequencing, and holding other teams to their commitments.
- Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills — you keep Product, Engineering, and leadership aligned on the same picture of reality.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, escalate when needed, and drive action when priorities shift.
- Professional English communication skills.
It's a plus if you also have:
- Experience in a highly technical SaaS, software product, or technology-driven organisation.
- Experience supporting platform, infrastructure, or architecture-focused engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
- Exposure to AI-enabled workflows, automation tools, or process optimisation initiatives.
- PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent Project Management certifications.
