Position Overview - Hybrid - Atlanta, GA

The Senior Data Engineer designs and delivers the data solutions that support decision-making across Guardian Pharmacy. This role partners with business and technology teams to build scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytics capabilities that drive operational excellence and growth.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data and analytics solutions.
• Design, develop, and support ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, SQL Server, and related technologies.
• Build and optimize enterprise data models, repositories, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and performance across data platforms.
• Lead projects, mentor team members, and promote best practices in data engineering and development.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools.
• Communicate technical solutions, risks, and progress to business and technology stakeholders.
• Manage multiple priorities while delivering sustainable, high-quality solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, or data warehousing.
• Advanced experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL development.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience supporting full solution lifecycles from design through implementation.
• SSAS Tabular and AI-related experience preferred.
