À propos de ce poste Senior C++ Developer Data Security chez Thales
At Thales, we know technology has the ability to make our world more secure, sustainable, and inclusive – and that it’s all driven by human intelligence.
Because it takes human intelligence to build and power the systems and solutions that people depend on every day. So we stay curious and make space for diverse points of view. We share what we know and we challenge what’s possible.
We’re driving progress in some of the world’s most important industries - from the bottom of the oceans to the depths of space and cyberspace - and from manufacturing to engineering, we work together to build a future we can all trust.
Imperva, a Thales company, is a globally recognized cybersecurity leader, dedicated to securing data and applications across diverse environments. Our cutting-edge solutions empower organizations to safeguard their most critical assets, ensuring robust protection against emerging threats.
We're looking for a results-driven, versatile C/C++ Engineer to join our Data Security Agents team, located in our Tel Aviv Office.
The team is responsible for developing and testing our Data Activity Monitoring (DAM) Agent solutions for Linux environments.
As a C/C++ Engineer, you will be part of a team that develops our state-of-the-art product, leading technology, and projects end-to-end while maintaining high-quality standards.
You will work on complex user-space components, database monitoring, and system-level interactions—leveraging modern AI development tools to rapidly ramp up in unfamiliar domains, stay focused on execution, and consistently deliver on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain our high-performance Linux user-space Agent product across various Linux distributions and cloud environments.
- Lead development features and tasks end-to-end—including design, task breakdown, implementation, and testing—with a strong commitment to on-time delivery.
- Maintain sharp task focus, plan work effectively, and consistently meet sprint commitments and project milestones.
- Dive independently into unfamiliar domains, third-party database architectures (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DB2, SAP HANA), and complex codebases using AI coding and research tools to accelerate learning and delivery.
- Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot high-throughput, multi-threaded user-space components, IPC mechanisms, and data processing pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with R&D groups, QA, Product Management, and Support teams to deliver pragmatic, production-ready solutions.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent from a known university.
- 5-6+ years of hands-on experience as a C/C++ software developer in Linux environments.
- Strong execution and delivery orientation: Proven ability to stay focused on the goal, avoid getting bogged down in side details, and consistently deliver tasks on time and according to plan AI-driven autonomy.
- Ability to independently tackle unknown domains and unfamiliar technologies by effectively leveraging modern AI tools (AI coding assistants, agents, LLMs) to research, debug, and build faster.
- Strong experience in multi-threaded and object-oriented programming in C/C++.
- High versatility and adaptability—able to quickly switch contexts between features development, performance optimization, and complex bug investigations.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and pragmatic problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take full ownership.
- A motivated team player with a can-do attitude and clear, proactive communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Linux internals (processes, threads, signals, /proc, dynamic linking / ELF, IPC).
- Experience with Linux diagnostic and tracing tools (gdb, strace, perf, core dump analysis).
- Experience with runtime instrumentation or hooking techniques (ptrace, GOT/PLT hooking, dlopen, OpenSSL hooks).
- Experience with Networking concepts (TCP/UDP, TLS/SSL, L3/L4/L7) or Database internals/protocols.
