Senior Business Analyst – Insurance domain

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support complex Insurance business transformation and migration initiatives. The role involves assessing impacts across processes, data, and operational workflows, while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define practical solutions and drive alignment.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who can challenge assumptions, navigate complex business processes, facilitate decision-making, and bring diverse stakeholder groups together to achieve outcomes. Experience in developing options papers, presenting recommendations, and translating business needs into actionable plans is essential. Exposure to data analysis and SQL would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities for a large-scale business and system migration initiative.
• Assess and document impacts on data, business processes, and reconciliation requirements to support a successful transition.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Underwriting, Pricing, Operations, Product, Digital, and Data teams to define and agree on target-state processes and solutions.
• Facilitate discussions, challenge assumptions, identify risks and dependencies, and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Analyze complex business processes, identify gaps, and recommend pragmatic solutions or workarounds.
• Prepare clear and concise options papers, presentations, and recommendations for business decision-making.
• Support delivery teams by translating business needs into actionable requirements and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in insurance transformation, migration, or change initiatives.
• 10+ years commercial experience
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a track record of challenging assumptions and driving outcomes.
• Strong understanding of data impacts, process analysis, and reconciliation concepts.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills with experience creating executive-ready presentations and options papers.
• Solid business analysis fundamentals, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, and solution evaluation.
• Working knowledge of SQL is desirable.
• Experience in the Lloyd’s and/or London Market insurance sector is highly preferred.
