We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join our Commercial Insurance team in Melbourne working with Kerri Thomas and Jehan Mata.

About the team and the work

• The role offers exposure to a broad range of public liability and property damage claims.

• The team also provide coverage advice to insurers and pursues recovery actions for first party property losses.

• Clients include Australian and international insurers and self-insured corporates.

• This role will suit an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel who is looking for a clear progression path, enjoys mentoring junior team members, and is eager to play a key role in business development.

• The team embraces working flexibly and therefore we welcome applications from candidates who are looking for flexibility in their next role.

About you

• At least 5 years' experience gained in a well-regarded defendant insurance practice

• Experience in liability and professional indemnity matters is essential

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability

• Willingness to mentor junior team members and be involved in business development activities.
