As AI reshapes finance, audit and reporting, organizations increasingly need professionals who combine business knowledge with the ability to build AI solutions. In our Digital Transformation team, we help organizations transform their processes with AI, by integrating GenAI automations and software into complex client projects such as reporting transformations, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, or preparing for new regulations like the AI Act. 

This is what you'll do 

You will be part of an inclusive, multidisciplinary team that works alongside finance leaders, accounting specialists, risk and audit professionals and technology teams. 

You work side by side with our clients and project teams as a forward deployed engineer, translating real business problems into working AI solutions. You combine hands-on engineering with a growing understanding of finance, audit and reporting, which you build up on the job. Your responsibilities may include: 

• Designing, building and deploying AI solutions and agents for internal and client-facing engagements, and identifying AI automations to optimize client offerings and internal processes; 

• Translating finance, audit and reporting requirements into AI solutions; 

• Guiding the deployment of AI software to production together with our internal teams, applying agile methodologies. 

Examples of what you might build include agents that answer technical accounting questions, such as converting financial statements from IFRS to US GAAP, support internal controls by flagging gaps before they become findings, or analyze thousands of contracts and due diligence files in minutes rather than weeks. We also build agents for our own software development, automating code review, test generation and release checks, with the guardrails and audit trail a firm like ours requires. 

You will work with Python, Azure OpenAI and other leading model APIs, agent frameworks, vector databases, Git and Azure DevOps. We are pragmatic and the stack moves fast: if something better ships next quarter, we will be using it. PwC invests globally in AI, so you work with modern models and enterprise-grade infrastructure. 

You recognize yourself in this 

You are curious about emerging technologies and driven by solving complex business problems with AI. You communicate clearly and can present your work to senior stakeholders. 

• A completed university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, AI, Data Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; 

• At least 2 years of experience building AI solutions, ideally with GenAI concepts,  such as  coding assistants and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents and AI model integrations; 

• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, including rapid prototyping and integrating open-source software, and experience with Git and agile delivery tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira; 

• An interest in finance, accounting, reporting and (IT) audit, and the motivation to learn about these topics; 

• Fluency in both English and Dutch. 

Prior work experience in finance, accounting, reporting, audit or controls is a strong advantage. Genuine curiosity about the business is essential, because the quality of your work depends as much on understanding the problem as on engineering the solution.
