Job Title: Senior Accountant
Reports To: BU Controller
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Bozeman, MT
Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting month‑end close, and strengthening our internal controls framework. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Business Unit Controller and Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, deep understanding of GAAP, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑growing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support the monthly and year end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and maintain journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and quarterly.
• Calculate and prepare monthly sales commission reports for payroll.
• Assist in preparing internal financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights into trends and variances.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Support external audits (financial, tax, insurance, banking) and sales tax compliance.
• Collaborate with cross departmental teams to improve processes and financial workflows.
• Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc reporting.
• Assists the leadership of the accounting team and other team members with various research projects and/or special projects
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Must conduct self in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner at all times

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Teamwork oriented, working with all levels and departments of the organization.
• Experience with ERP, Microsoft D365 a plus
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
- Variable Compensation: Annual discretionary bonus opportunity of 10% tied to company and individual performance
