The Senior Accountant position is responsible for all accounting reporting activities to the business and Corporate through accurate preparation and reporting of monthly financial results in accordance with applicable policies.
The role includes accounts preparation, reporting, analysis, budgeting and business partnering to commercial team, including internal control review.
Roles and Responsibilities
Controlling
- Responsible for keeping full set of accounts.
- Responsible for ensuring accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger processing is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Cashflow Management.
- Trade spends and other claims monitoring and review.
- Inventory reconciliation.
- Reporting of financial results using corporate reporting tools and system.
- Monthly analysis of financial results in financial reports (PL, BS).
- Ensure accuracy of payroll reporting.
- Overseeing the integrity of accounting processes, maintaining, and improving internal controls relating to collection and payments.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Keep up to date with accounting standard changes.
Taxation Management
- Prepare tax provisions schedules, local income tax returns and other business-related filings, payments, reports.
- Responsible for tax return submission.
- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year.
- Liaise with tax agent, bank, auditors, legal counsel, government authorities and distributors.
- Keep up to date with tax changes and review tax assessment.
Corporate Governance
- Ensure Corporate Governance.
- Ensure an adequate and effective internal control systems are in place and are implemented to properly safeguard company assets and accuracy of accounting records.
- Ensure on-going improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
- Ensure segregation of duties are in place.
