JOB DESCRIPTION:
PURPOSE: Develops, interprets, implements and supports financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control, along with ensuring the accuracy of the financial results as reported through the cost and inventory systems by performing the following duties:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completion of period end material consumption model to ensure all material costs are accounted for.
- Review results of material consumption adjustments and inventory balances at period end with delivery partners
- Provide commentary on significant variances for management reporting
- Generate sales and product line profitability reports providing commentary on variances
- Assist in the preparation and submission of annual budgets and forecasts
- Co-ordinate the period-end close process ensuring all journal entries and account reconciliations are completed and analyzed with corrections for any discrepancies.
- Provide accurate costs for manufactured products.
- Interact with different departments including production associates on various projects as assigned.
- Sort information into a logical and useful format using complex Excel formulas.
- Provide support to business and capital projects.
- Update and maintain costing files for several manufactured products.
- Work with assigned plant personnel through the inventory process to ensure that all the necessary inventory processes and procedures are completed.
- Assist with physical inventory results analysis and any corresponding inventory gain or loss.
- Liaison with other functional areas to ensure all issues are being addressed in a timely manner.
- Update Physical Inventory costing files and ensure they are maintained on a regular basis.
- Identify and highlight operational savings opportunities and assist in related projects.
- Assist in preparation/compilation of annual income tax package and Non-resident withholding taxes and annual filings
- Assist the Finance Department in special projects as required.
- Potential to lead and mentor finance staff in the future
- Other Duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- 3-5 Years of progressive Accounting/Finance related experience.
- CPA designation preferred, or working towards
- Understanding of cost and inventory systems an asset
- Understanding of Cost and Management Accounting
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Analytical skills that enable the interpretation of financial data
- Understanding of finance and business concepts
Skills and Expectations:
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task several projects at once
- Able to work independently by exercising sound judgment in reviewing & assessing data.
- Able to handle heavy workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility and willingness to adjust quickly to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written & listening)
- Professional, positive manner a must
- This position will be considered hybrid and will require the candidate to work both remotely and, in the office, as required
Wage Range: $76,314 - $118,286
Shift: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
