Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings Business in Penang, Malaysia. Main stakeholders include Channel Partners, Direct Customers, Internal Sales Teams and External Stakeholders.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Managing front-end sales for Electrification Smart Buildings through both channel partners and direct customer engagement in Penang/Northern Region Malaysia.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers regarding delivery timelines, pricing, payment terms, and general conditions aligned with ABB's offerings and strategy.
• Identifying, developing and pursuing new business opportunities within the Penang/Northern region while ensuring effective stakeholder management.
• Managing sales administration, supporting cash collection, and contributing to project management activities as required.
• Leveraging local market knowledge to expand customer base and market penetration.

Qualifications for the role

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of proven Front-End Sales experience within industrial, electrical, or automation-related products and services.
• Experience managing channel partners and direct accounts.
• Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and deliver effective solutions to customers and partners.
• Good relationship/network within Northern region within Building, General Industry, Semincon, Data Center, Factory segment would be an added advantage.
• Good proficiency in English and additional language proficiency is valued.
