Job Description

The School of Education seeks applications between September 22, 2026 - March 31, 2026, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Counseling and Career Development program for the 2026 – 2027 academic year.

Instructors teach face-to-face graduate-level courses in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Successful candidates may also be asked to provide clinical supervision and coordination of students’ practicum and/or internship experiences. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding.

Full Consideration Date:

Compensation:

$1,666.67 per credit hour instruction -- $50,000 base salary.

Conditions of Employment:

Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires).

Required Job Qualifications:

• Earned master’s degree in counseling or closely-related degree.
• Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, Licensed  Professional Counselor Eligible in Colorado (and already licensed in another state), Colorado Special Services License – Professional School Counselor, Licensed Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
• Evidence of excellence in teaching in the areas of Counseling and Career Development curriculum and/or clinical supervision.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Earned doctorate degree in counselor education, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program.
• Experience teaching graduate students via face-to-face and distance technologies.
• Commitment to working with people from various backgrounds and inclusive teaching, scholarship and/or practice.
• Professional counselor educational background and identity.
