You Are: SAP ABAP Developer - SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll
The Work:
Responsible for leading complex business and system analysis, design, coding, and testing for SAP ABAP development efforts supporting Payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and enhancing custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects) to support SAP Payroll processes
- Translating business area customer requirements into detailed technical and enterprise application design specifications
- Interacting with SAP HCM/Payroll Functional Consultants and client team members to analyze alternatives and provide technical recommendations
- Preparing programming specifications, technical design documents, diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts for enterprise application modifications and installations
- Debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting custom ABAP code and standard SAP payroll objects
- Experience with budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning
- Managing a team, including mentoring and training junior developers
Here’s What You Need:
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience (required core skillset)
- Strong ABAP proficiency, including OOP ABAP, BAPIs/RFCs, IDocs, user exits/enhancement framework, Smart Forms/SAPscript, and custom report/interface development
- Experience developing and supporting custom objects within an SAP Payroll landscape
Bonus Points If:
- SAP HCM Payroll functional background (schemas, PCRs, payroll driver customization)
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll experience
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain a government clearance
- US citizenship required (no dual citizenship)

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:
$106,300—$206,200 USD
