JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a committed and passionate hospitality professional to join our housekeeping team as a Room Attendant. The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms in a quiet, orderly, and efficient manner in accordance with Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel standards and Five-Star Service expectations.

This position is responsible for cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, making beds, replenishing guest amenities, and ensuring guest rooms are consistently maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates attention to detail, and works well as part of a team that continuously strives to raise the bar in guest service.

EXPERIENCE

• Must have at least one (1) year of Housekeeping experience; hospitality experience preferred.
• Previous hotel experience is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of the Room Attendant at the Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel include, but are not limited to:

• Clean and vacuum guest rooms, including dusting, cleaning bathrooms, making beds, replenishing room supplies and amenities, emptying trash, and ensuring rooms are maintained according to established quality and cleanliness standards.
• Collect and transport soiled linens and towels to designated areas for laundering.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and needs while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Inspect guest rooms for deficiencies, damage, or items requiring maintenance and promptly report them to the Housekeeping Office.
• Contact the Housekeeping Office to report maintenance issues such as burned-out light bulbs, broken fixtures, damaged furniture, or other room deficiencies.
• Accurately update the daily assignment sheet with rooms completed and document any missing items, including robes.
• Report missing guest room items and amenities, including robes, cotton boxes, blotters, and other designated items, to the Housekeeping Office.
• Report and properly turn in all items left behind by guests in accordance with hotel Lost and Found procedures.
• Use all cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment in accordance with established housekeeping procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Keep Housekeeping closets and work areas clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift.
• Communicate regularly with the Housekeeping Supervisor regarding room status, special requests, rooms requiring additional attention, and any other concerns.
• Follow all hotel, departmental, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing the Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel.

Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.

• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures and standards.
• Must be able to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Must be able to maintain a consistent level of productivity throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 15 pounds or more on a regular and continuous basis.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as business needs require.
