micro1 is engaging Robotics Experts to work on a video annotation project focused on robotic systems. The core of this role is watching video and labeling it accurately. You'll review footage of robotic arms performing tasks and tag what happens in each session, using your robotics knowledge to judge whether the robot did the job correctly. No prior AI experience is required — your technical background is what matters.

Scope of Work

1. Watch video recordings of robotic arms performing tasks and annotate them following a detailed set of guidelines.
2. Tag actions, events, and errors in each video session, marking where each action starts and ends.
3. Judge whether the robot completed the task correctly, and label failures such as missed grasps, dropped objects, poor paths, or inaccurate positioning.
4. Apply the labeling rules the same way across every session so the data stays consistent.
5. Flag unclear or borderline cases to project managers instead of guessing, and help resolve them.
6. Use your knowledge of robot motion, perception, sensors, and integration to explain what went wrong when a robot fails.
7. Suggest improvements to the annotation guidelines when you find gaps or repeated confusion.
8. Complete assigned annotation volume on time and at the required quality level.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Background in robotics, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related technical field.
2. Hands-on experience with robotic arms or robotic systems, whether in industry, research, or lab settings.
3. Solid understanding of robot motion control, grasping, perception, and sensors.
4. Able to tell the difference between correct and faulty robot behavior just by watching it.
5. Strong attention to detail and the patience to stay consistent across long sessions of similar footage.
6. Comfortable following written technical guidelines precisely.
7. Clear written and verbal communication for working with a remote team.
8. Previous video annotation or data labeling experience is a plus, but not required.
