About the role
 

We are looking for a Retail Sales Representative to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.
 

As an Elders Retail Sales Representative, you will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and help them find the right products and solutions for their business.
 

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in agricultural retail and sales. You don't need to have extensive agricultural experience or a long sales history - we are looking for someone with the right attitude, willingness to learn and a genuine interest in working with customers and the rural community. You will be supported by the Elders team and provided with the training, product knowledge and tools needed to develop your skills and grow your career.
 

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and new customers.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and recommend suitable products and services.
• Learn and develop knowledge of agricultural, seasonal and retail products.
• Identify opportunities to support customers and contribute to sales growth.
• Assist with achieving team and individual sales targets and KPIs.
• Process sales transactions and prepare quotes for customers.
• Assist with stock management, including receiving, storage, stocktake and dispatch.
• Ensure stock is handled and stored safely and in accordance with workplace safety requirements.
• Work as part of a supportive team to provide a high level of customer service.
   

About you

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys working with people and wants to build a career in agricultural retail and sales.
 

You will ideally:

• Have a positive attitude and be willing to learn new skills.
• Enjoy working with customers and building strong relationships, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Have an interest in agriculture, farming, retail or sales, with a willingness to develop your product and industry knowledge.
• Be comfortable working in a hands-on environment, including assisting with stock.
• Be motivated to achieve personal and team goals.
• Have a current driver's licence. A forklift licence is preferred; however, we can support you to obtain one.
