Role Overview
The Retail Growth Manager will lead the development and execution of HP’s integrated marketing strategy for Best Buy in North America. This role owns the end-to-end customer and shopper marketing agenda across Personal Systems, Gaming and Print, translating HP’s business priorities into a unified account strategy that accelerates consideration, conversion, market share and profitable growth.
The successful candidate will act as the marketing “CMO” for HP at Best Buy—bringing together Sales, Category, Media, Content, Insights, eCommerce, Retail Experience and agency partners around a single growth plan. The role will move HP beyond individual product and category placements toward a connected One HP experience across Best Buy’s stores, digital properties and customer touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the integrated annual marketing strategy and plan for Best Buy, aligned with HP’s category, sales and financial priorities.
- Serve as the primary marketing partner to the Best Buy sales team and Best Buy’s marketing, merchandising and media organizations.
- Act as the single point of marketing accountability for Best Buy performance across Consumer PCs, Gaming, Print hardware, Supplies and subscription-based services.
- Translate customer, shopper and competitive insights into clear account growth opportunities.
- Create a connected HP ecosystem across Best Buy, moving beyond separate category executions to tell a cohesive story around how customers work, create, play and print.
- Lead the vision and framework for HP’s in-store presence, including experience principles, retailer-specific design guidelines, demonstrations, fixtures and branded environments.
- Strengthen HP’s omnichannel shopper journey by connecting retail media, BestBuy.com content, search, ratings and reviews, in-store execution, associate advocacy and post-purchase engagement.
- Lead major product launches, seasonal moments and innovation showcases from strategy through execution.
- Develop joint business and marketing plans with Best Buy, including objectives, investment priorities, activation calendars and success metrics.
- Partner with Best Buy Ads and HP’s media teams to improve audience strategy, retail media effectiveness, incrementality and return on investment.
- Identify opportunities to grow attach, services and subscriptions alongside core hardware sales.
- Build programs that educate and inspire Best Buy associates, strengthening their understanding of HP innovation and ability to recommend HP products.
- Partner with Category, Sales, Media, Content, Insights, Finance, Operations and agency teams to deliver coordinated execution.
- Own account marketing investment recommendations and ensure funding is focused on the highest-impact growth opportunities.
- Establish clear measurement frameworks connecting marketing activity to traffic, conversion, share, revenue, profitability, attach and brand outcomes.
- Monitor business performance and competitive activity, identify risks and rapidly adjust plans when needed.
- Develop pilots and new retail experiences that can demonstrate impact and scale across Best Buy.
- Influence senior HP and Best Buy stakeholders through clear, commercially grounded recommendations.

- Growth in qualified traffic, conversion, share of shelf and category consideration.
- Improved attach rates across hardware, accessories, services and subscriptions.

Qualifications
- Significant experience in retail, shopper marketing, account marketing, eCommerce, category management or retail media.
- Demonstrated success managing a large, complex omnichannel retail partner; direct Best Buy or consumer-electronics retail experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial orientation with the ability to connect marketing activity to measurable business outcomes.
- Deep understanding of retail media, digital shelf fundamentals, in-store experience and omnichannel shopper journeys.
- Experience developing integrated strategies across multiple product categories and customer touchpoints.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort using data to identify opportunities, prioritize investment and evaluate performance.
- Experience influencing senior internal and external stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication, leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance long-term strategic development with fast, disciplined execution.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree preferred.

Salary
The pay range for this role is $110,300.00 - $159,950.00 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
