Job responsibilities:
- Perform daily shift inspections, routine health checks, and operational verification for Resort Technology systems including BGM, QSC/Q-SYS or equivalent audio platforms, IPTV, digital signage, LED display systems, function room AV systems, lighting control, dimmer systems, control systems, and related ELV room equipment.
- Support installation, configuration, operation, repair, preventive maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of audio, video, lighting, control, display, network-connected AV, and guest-facing technology equipment.
- Set up, test, operate, standby, and dismantle AV equipment for banquet functions, meetings, property events, training sessions, FOH activities, BOH support, and special projects according to user requirements and operational standards.
- Respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner, perform initial diagnosis, restore service where possible, update work notes clearly, and escalate to the appropriate internal teams, vendors, or management when required.
- Upload, schedule, program, verify, and troubleshoot content playback for property digital signage, way-finding, multimedia displays, IPTV channels, LED walls, and other display-related systems.
- Support guest room and public area technology systems where assigned, including in-room TV, control panels, IPTV, audiovisual equipment, door lock or lift card reader checks, and related operational verification tasks.
- Assist with AV and technology projects by supporting site surveys, requirement gathering, equipment testing, commissioning, punch list follow-up, vendor coordination, handover review, and operational readiness checks.
- Maintain accurate inventory, asset records, incident notes, equipment status, spare units, cable labeling, rack condition, control room cleanliness, SOP checklists, handover records, and documentation for supported systems and equipment rooms.
- Follow Resort Technology SOPs, safety requirements, access control procedures, change or maintenance arrangements, and operational protocols when working in guest areas, BOH areas, control rooms, ELV rooms, and equipment rooms.
- Communicate professionally with guests, business users, Banquet, F&B, Gaming, Hotel Operations, Facilities Management, Entertainment, Security, vendors, and other DTS teams to ensure smooth service delivery and timely issue resolution.
- Share knowledge with team members, participate in cross-training, maintain awareness of new AV, control, display, lighting, and network-connected technology trends, and contribute to continuous improvement of Resort Technology operations.
Job requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in integrated resort technology, hospitality AV operations, mega shopping mall technology support, system integration, production house, entertainment technology, or a related technical service environment.
- Practical experience supporting daily operations, preventive checks, incidents, service requests, event setup, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV and technology systems.
- Technical trade certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, information technology, audiovisual technology, mechanical engineering, or related discipline. Relevant technical training or certification in AVIXA CTS, QSC/Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, lighting control, digital signage, networking, or related technology platforms is an advantage.
- Good understanding of AV signal flow, audio routing, video distribution, display connectivity, source switching, control interfaces, and basic stage/event setup principles.
- Hands-on knowledge of audio systems, microphones, mixers, DSP, amplifiers, loudspeakers, background music systems, and network audio platforms such as QSC/Q-SYS or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of video systems, IPTV, digital signage, LED display systems, media players, content scheduling, display troubleshooting, and guest-facing screen operation.
- Basic knowledge of lighting control, dimming systems, scene presets, control panels, DMX or other specialty lighting applications where applicable.
- Basic understanding of IT and network fundamentals, including IP addressing, network connectivity, cabling, patching, device status checking, and escalation to network or system teams when required.
- Ability to read and follow basic AV drawings, rack layouts, cable labels, equipment naming conventions, SOPs, checklists, and technical documentation.
- Competency in using common hand tools, testers, basic measurement tools, computer applications, incident management tools, and asset or inventory records.
- Good command of spoken and written Cantonese and Mandarin; able to communicate in English for technical documentation, vendor communication, incident updates, and operational handover.
- Able to use Microsoft Office applications and relevant operational systems for reporting, documentation, checklists, inventory updates, and service records.
- Duties require shift work including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, public holidays, event standby, emergency response, and support outside normal office hours when business needs require.
