Job Title: Repair Technician
Location: Altron Meadowview Warehouse
Job Purpose
The Repair Technician is responsible for performing technical repairs, troubleshooting, and component-level repairs on IT and electronic equipment. The role requires diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs to quality standards, and ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform component-level repairs on IT and electronic equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and electronic faults.
- Conduct basic testing and fault-finding activities.
- Read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical documentation.
- Carry out soldering and rework activities as required.
- Ensure repairs are completed within agreed turnaround times and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
- Use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for reporting and communication.
- Adhere to all company quality, health, safety, and operational procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the repair environment.
- Deliver high levels of customer service and support.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma.
- National Technical Certificate.
- N or S courses preferred.
Experience
- 0 to 3 years' experience in technical repairs within an IT environment.
- Experience with component-level repairs.
- Basic troubleshooting experience.
Knowledge
- Computer operation, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Outlook
- Understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems.
- Basic diagnostic and fault-finding principles.
