Senior Reimbursement Analyst

About the Job:

Reporting to the Revenue & Reimbursement Manger, the Reimbursement Analyst Senior will assist with the development of Elliot Health System’s monthly financial information by leveraging the unified modeling platform and performing analysis relating to revenue & reimbursement. The Senior Analyst assists in the preparation of governmental cost reports, leads the data compilation for supporting documents and subsequent coordination for audit related inquiries.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare computation of contractual allowance, charitable care and bad debt for Elliot Health System entities’ monthly financial statement presentation leveraging the unified modeling platform and other technology
• Lead the compilation of supporting documents, analysis, and input necessary for the submission of governmental cost reports.
• Coordinate documentation in response to third party and system’s independent audit inquiries. • Assist in the maintenance of software programs used to produce cost reports, financial modeling and other revenue & reimbursement information.
• Participate in the annual operating budget process by assisting the Revenue & Reimbursement Manager with the preparation of computations and compilation of data.
• Prepare computations of third-party estimates and final settlements for balance sheet presentation. 2 | Page
• Extract and summarize complex transactional data from the clinical documentation platform to provide revenue and reimbursement analysis to assist the Revenue & Reimbursement Manager as part of program financial review or other leadership requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field required. An additional four (4) years of experience as outlined below can be substituted for the required degree.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of healthcare reimbursement experience required. Healthcare experience preferred.

Knowledge: Knowledge of healthcare revenue and reimbursement.

Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. End user experience with one or more of the programs: Kodiak, Epic, HFS, and/or Workday.

Abilities: Ability to take initiative and work independently. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to participate constructively in meetings. Ability to work with interruptions.
