Registered Nurse (RN) – Outcomes Coordinator

Park Ridge, IL 

Part Time- 10 hours a week in conjunction with RN ED staff position with Advocate;

Nights (7p-5a) one shift a week

Where You Will Work:

45 bed unit that provides nursing care to patient population needing emergency services. Lutheran General is a Level 1 Trauma Medical Center with magnet designation.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• BSN required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS; PALS to be obtained within 3 months of start date
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in Emergency nursing

What You’ll Do:

• This position will provide an exclusive focus on clinical excellence. This will include identifying patients in real-time that pertain to performance improvement (PI) initiatives and contemporaneously intervening with staff members (physicians, nurses, technicians, secretaries) to highlight these patient opportunities and provide support. This position will systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of clinical practice and analyze appropriate internal and external data to identify opportunities for improving patient care services and achieve outcome excellence. This position will also serve to facilitate issues related to patient safety and a team approach to patient care.
• Identifies problems and issues related to clinical quality and patient safety and proposes courses of action to resolve issues by researching and benchmarking solutions.
• Follows patient tracking system in real time to facilitate appropriate care standards and responds to codes as a resource and to assist team members with current care standards
• Serves as a resource and leader to the multidisciplinary teams to improve clinical performance in disease management and patient outcomes.
