Job Description:

The Registered Nursing (RN) works collaboratively with the ED team caring for patients admitted to a med/surg level of care awaiting a room. This RN is part of the Resource Pool and qualifies for an extra Resource Pool Differential.

Department/Position Overview: 

This is a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with 6 beds dedicated to a lock down psychiatric screening and treatment area.   We are a stroke certified ED and receive STEMI and psychiatric patients.  The ED treats about 150 patients per day with a dedicated radiology suite in the ED for plain film and CT imaging.

Education:

• ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.

Certification:

• Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
• BLS

Experience:

• RN Experienced in a hospital setting.
• Min of 18mos RN Experience in a Medical Surgical or Intermediate Care Unit.
