Responsibilities include:
As an essential member of our clinical team, you'll help improve patients' oral and overall health by delivering exceptional periodontal care and education.
- Perform comprehensive oral and periodontal assessments
- Remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth using various dental instruments.
- Administer local anesthesia to patients as required for dental procedures.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash.
- Provide personalized recommendations for oral care products based on individual patient needs.
- Take dental X-rays and process them for the dentist's evaluation.
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride varnishes or sealants to protect patients' teeth.
- Conduct periodontal charting and assist the dentist in identifying and treating gum diseases.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications
- Newly licensed Dental Hygienist are encouraged to apply.
- Active Ohio Dental Hygienist (RDH) license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization procedures, and infection control protocols
- Understanding of OSHA andhealth & safety regulations
- Experience with periodontal charting and digital radiography preferred
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment
- Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
- Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
- Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments
- Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
- Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
- Final compensation will be determined based on your experience and qualifications.
