Reception and Bookings Manager

Renacres Hospital - Ormskirk

Full Time - 37.5 hours per wee

The Role:
We currently have a great new opportunity for an experienced Reception and Bookings Manager to join our team at Renacres Hospital, based in Ormskirk.

As the Head of Department for Administration you are responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of Reception, Admissions, Outpatient Appointments (including electronic NHS referrals), and the main hospital switchboard. Working with the teams in each area and liaising with your clinical colleagues, you are responsible for ensuring processes are documented and followed correctly by all staff.

Experience, Skills & Attributes:

• Knowledge and experience of Electronic Patient Records system (Maxims or other)

• Knowledge and experience of patient bookings and schedule management

• Experience of managing a team and working with the consultant body

• Experience of dealing with large volumes of work with a degree of interruption

• Excellent organisational and planning skills

• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines and targets.

• Ability to manage a varied, unpredictable, and demanding workload.

• Ability to work under own initiative.

• Ability to work to a high level.

• Act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with internal and external customers

• Promote the company in a positive manner both internally and externally

• Demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect of others and a commitment to professional practice

• Adhere to Ramsay policies and procedures

• Be responsible and accountable for own designated responsibilities

• Participate in the annual Performance Development Review process

• Undertake reasonable training and development to retain and improve upon existing skills

• Work collaboratively and cooperatively with all members of the team

• Resolves any workplace conflict in a professional manner through the correct organisational processes

• Assist new members of staff to effectively perform their role

• Demonstrate good communication skills 

• Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders and report outcomes or needs to the relevant function manager or Director

• Attend departmental meetings and read relevant communications while contributing to improving standards of services in line with the needs of the business
