As a Real Estate Form 1065 Manager you will lead client support work in tax compliance, reviewing financial data, preparing and filing partnership tax returns, and guiding clients through tax laws and reporting requirements within our Tax Services practice. As a Manager you will motivate and develop team members, direct work across multiple priorities, and use sound judgment to manage client expectations while upholding quality, integrity, and a practical approach to delivery. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Kolkata, you will also help identify opportunities to improve delivery methods, use technology to support efficient execution, and contribute to work that helps clients manage compliance responsibilities and tax positions.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Own and manage the preparation and review of tax work papers used to calculate partnership taxable income. 
• Oversee the review of tax forms including 1065, 1120, 588, 1099, W-8, 8832, 8875, 8865, 8937, 8082, and 966
• Review Federal K-1 and State K-1 schedules for partners and ensure accuracy and timely completion
• Lead analysis of financial information received from underlying portfolio companies and oversee the calculation of State and Foreign (IRC 1446, IRC 1441) tax withholdings
• Oversee partnership and partner tax basis tracking and support quarterly estimate preparation and review. 
• Manage ad hoc tax projects and formulate future automation resolutions 
• Collaborate with Fund Accounting and Operations teams to maintain and enhance process efficiency 
• Work closely with service providers to ensure timely exchange of information and manage the oversight of all deadlines
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management for junior team members, including training on partnership tax concepts, processes, and systems
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex partnership tax issues
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, including standardization, automation, and documentation of tax workflows and controls
• Partner with technology and data teams to enhance tax reporting systems, data integrity, and reconciliation processes

Desired Candidate Profile: 

• Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline 
• 10-12 years’ experience in US Taxation with a focus on Partnership and Corporate fund structures
• Flexible to work from Office
• Open to work in UK shift
  
  What Sets You Apart
  
  - In Tax, Manager, Senior Manager, and Director roles prefer candidates who hold an active primary credential, such as one of the following: (1) US CPA or foreign equivalent (2) US Enrolled Agent in good standing with an appropriate regulatory body (3) a firm-approved secondary credential
