A leading global financial institution is seeking an Interest Rates Sales Specialist to join their team in Australia. This role offers you the opportunity to promote a diverse range of banking products and services, including Foreign Exchange and Derivatives, to both Japanese and global corporate clients. What you'll do:

As an Interest Rates Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting financial market products—especially rates derivatives—to corporate banking clients across Australia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve building trusted relationships with clients by providing insightful market updates and tailored product recommendations. You will collaborate extensively with Relationship Managers and other departments within the bank to deliver seamless transactions that exceed client expectations. By staying abreast of industry developments and regulatory requirements, you will ensure that all activities are conducted within established frameworks. Success in this role requires a commitment to delivering extraordinary service, maintaining strong stakeholder management both internally and externally, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere where knowledge sharing is encouraged.

  • Promote the bank’s suite of products and services—including Foreign Exchange and Derivatives—to Japanese and global corporate banking clients by leveraging your market expertise.

  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new opportunities in partnership with Relationship Managers to achieve revenue targets.

  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external clients, enhancing the bank’s reputation through thoughtful communication and seamless transaction support.

  • Collaborate with various departments such as Operations, Global Markets FX Sales, Corporate and Investment Bank Oceania and Asia Global Markets Department to ensure smooth execution of client transactions.

  • Provide up-to-date market analysis and advice based on macroeconomic indicators, equipping clients with relevant information for informed decision-making.

  • Support all relevant departments by sharing market-related information, product specifications, operational procedures, and insights into client demand for products.

  • Ensure compliance with all external regulations as well as internal policies, procedures, and control frameworks during marketing activities.

  • Demonstrate professionalism by maintaining a respectful and collaborative environment with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.

  • Fulfil regulatory requirements related to licensing qualifications necessary for the role.

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, products, laws, and regulations to ensure best practices are followed.

  • Proven ability to analyse macroeconomic indicators enables you to offer valuable market updates and advice tailored to client needs.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills allow you to build dependable relationships with clients as well as colleagues across multiple departments.

  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities ensure effective collaboration within the organisation and externally with key partners.

  • Commitment to compliance means you consistently observe relevant external regulations along with internal policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
