1) Radio Production Assistant – Tout un matin

Are you energized by the idea of waking up the city? Become the next Radio Production Assistant for Tout un matin, our flagship morning show!

Hosted by Patrick Masbourian, the program offers a unique opportunity to join an exceptional team where every morning is a blank page. In this key behind-the-scenes role, you will support the Producer in the conception, planning, preparation and on-air execution of the program from the control room. Your organizational skills, attention to detail and logistical support will help bring our content to life, minute by minute, every morning. Come experience a one-of-a-kind morning at the heart of a dynamic, fast-paced show.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

2) Radio Production Assistant

The Radio Production Assistant supports the Producer in the conception, planning, preparation and on-air execution of our radio programs from the control room.

This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours. Assignments may range from occasional to regular, depending on operational needs.

Radio-Canada radio is broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The position therefore requires availability for atypical work schedules, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities for both positions:

• Assists the Producer and, when delegated, replaces them at certain stages of production, including editing, recording, music selection, on-air execution and other related activities.
• Participates in meetings and collaborates in determining production and program content needs. Organizes production logistics according to the Producer’s requirements, including production schedules, resource bookings, team travel and transportation, etc. Maintains contact with relevant resource persons.
• Researches and selects, as requested, sound materials and musical selections required for the program.
• Plans, establishes and adjusts schedules for actors, musicians and contributors for rehearsals and recordings. Contacts participants and coordinates their attendance. Collects and compiles the information required to prepare contracts, fees and payroll documentation. Ensures that documents are prepared and signed and follows up as required.
• Listens to and times the program and tracks all segments. Isolates and identifies reports, interviews and excerpts. Ensures that the program runs according to the rundown. Provides instructions to individuals in the studio, control room and on location. Anticipates and proposes alternative solutions to address technical, computer-related, timing and other issues that may disrupt production.
• Participates in updating the website.
• Participates in the preparation and on-air execution of programs and live or pre-recorded segments. Follows the rundown, scripts and musical scores; verifies and communicates all relevant information to production teams and provides instructions to team members.
• Performs other related duties as required to carry out the above responsibilities.

This role requires full-time on-site presence.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Professional college diploma (DCS) or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience.

Skills:

• Very good knowledge of the working language: French.
• Good knowledge of the other official language: English is an asset.
• Good knowledge of computer systems and applications.
• Broad general knowledge and cultural awareness.

Selected candidates will be required to complete:

• Interview.
