The Role: WorldQuant is seeking an exceptional individual to join our CIO Management Team as a Junior Quantitative Project Manager focused on the Meta Alpha Model business. The Meta Alpha Model business combines individual alpha signals into meta signals.

This full-time role offers an opportunity for a highly analytical, motivated professional with a strong interest in finance, global markets, and technology to lead strategic, operational, and analytical initiatives across the investment organization. The ideal candidate brings a research-oriented mindset, curiosity about complex problems, and the initiative to drive challenging, open-ended work in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Lead strategic, operational, and analytical initiatives for the Meta Alpha Model business in partnership with investment management teams.
• Drive technical projects and new programs, from requirements and team formation through working group coordination.
• Align deliverables with program goals and roadmap priorities, adjusting plans as needs change.
• Plan resources and coordinate work across teams and projects.
• Identify risks early and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Build and improve dashboards, reports, and tracking tools; maintain supporting data in MySQL, Vertica, and PostgreSQL.
• Analyze initiative performance and report insights to guide decisions.
• Improve Meta Alpha Model operations and lead process changes.
• Translate business requirements into actionable plans and deliverables.
• Lead stakeholder communications and cross-functional problem-solving, including presentations, newsletters, and content-process improvements.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering)
• 1-3 years of experience in a project management role for a financial services company required
• Strong knowledge of financial markets and experience in investment management or a related finance/technology environment
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and solve open-ended problems
• Strong analytical and project management skills, sound judgment, and close attention to detail
• Thoughtful collaborator who can work effectively with management teams and diverse stakeholders
• Experience with Python, Jupyter notebooks, and dashboard solutions required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort presenting to key stakeholders

Pay Transparency:

WorldQuant is a total compensation organization where you will be eligible for a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and benefits.

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state.  We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on job function and level, benchmarked against similar stage organizations.  When finalizing an offer, we will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $125,000– $150,000 USD.
