À propos de ce poste Quality Inspector chez Alexander Dennis
Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Scarborough
Our Vision & Why It Matters
At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.
We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you’re engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.
What You’ll Do
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring our vehicles meet the high standards our customers expect. Working closely with Production and Quality teams, you'll be responsible for monitoring vehicle quality throughout the build process, identifying and resolving defects, supporting continuous improvement activities, and ensuring all quality controls are completed before vehicles progress to the next stage or are released to customers.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, collaboration, and a commitment to quality are essential. You'll help drive fault reduction initiatives, coach colleagues on quality standards, and contribute to delivering industry-leading products that customers can rely on.
What We’re Looking For
We're seeking an individual who is motivated, proactive, and passionate about quality. You'll have experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, automotive, or vehicle assembly environment and a strong understanding of quality standards and inspection processes.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator who can work collaboratively across departments, influence positive change, and take pride in maintaining exceptional standards. You'll be comfortable analysing quality issues, identifying root causes, and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience using recognised quality tools and techniques
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher
- Internal or external auditing qualifications
- Previous experience in bus, automotive, or vehicle manufacturing
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and fault reduction processes
.
