Project Role : Quality Engineer
Project Role Description : Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

Summary:
As a Quality Engineer, your day involves collaborating with diverse teams to design and implement comprehensive solutions that enhance the software delivery process. You engage in planning activities that span multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless integration within the development ecosystem. Your role includes executing continuous testing cycles focused on various aspects such as security and application programming interfaces, while also maintaining and evolving automated testing frameworks. You actively participate in reviewing code, tracking issues, and contributing to the refinement of testing methodologies, all aimed at elevating the overall quality throughout the software lifecycle.

- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies with project goals.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Support the configuration of test data and environments to ensure accurate test execution.
- Monitor testing outcomes and provide detailed reports to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior team members to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Playwright.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing principles and practices.
- Experience in designing and implementing continuous testing strategies.
- Familiarity with security testing and API testing methodologies.
- Ability to analyze and report defects effectively to support quality enhancement.
- Skilled in collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams to integrate testing processes.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Playwright.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.

Core Automation Skills(Required)
3-6-+years of hands-on Playwright experience using JavaScript or TypeScript / Or Selenium.
Demonstrated ability to build, Maintain ,and scale automated test suites for browser-based web application.
strong understanding of page object model(POM) and other automation design patterns
Hands-on experience with API testing toold such as Postman:
Familarity with validating API responses, status codes,pauload schemas, and error handling.
General QA Expertise (Required)

Solid command of standard QA practices: test case creation, execution, and maintenance
Skilled at reproducing defects consistently and documenting clear, actionable bug reports
Ability to verify when an issue first occurred, assess regression impact, and confirm whether issues are present across multiple test environments
Experience with test management tools(e.g., Jira Xray, TestRail, Zephyr)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to clearly articulate defects, test results, and blockers to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a structured approach to investigation and root cause analysis

Observability and System Troubleshooting(Preferred/not required)

Working knowledge of logging and monitoring tools, specifically Datadog and/or Dynatrace
Ability to trace logs, identify error patterns, and correlate system behavior with test failures
Exposure to integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines(GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps)
Understands how test results surface in pipeline runs and can interpret build features.

AI Proficiency (Required)
Working knowledge on github copilot, claude and their integration and usage in day to day work
Ability to understand existing agentic systems, agents and ability to use them and further enhance them as needed.
Working Knowledge of LLM & RAG system, chatbots and validation
