Job Description Summary

Oversees and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards. Establishes inspection protocols, defines sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing process. Recommends changes in specifications of materials, parts, and products based on inspection results. May formulate and revise quality control policies and procedures. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Job Description:

Supervises the LFC QA Tech team and ensures that QA and Production processes are correctly carried-out and compliant with applicable SOPs and regulations. Performs inspections, sampling, auditing, and documentation reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards. Coordinates with Production personnel for best practices; communicates non-conforming circumstances to QA manufacturing manager for dispositions; assists in making corrective measures. Assist in non-conformance investigations. Designated Quality

Job Responsibilities: ​

• Supervision of QA Technicians, monitoring of GMP compliance with recommendations for corrective measures; involvement and direct supervision in all area quality
• Activities: Performs document creation, review and approval; identification and communication to management t of non-conforming products; cGMP compliance. Occasionally performs product inspections and releases
• Detailed Job Responsibilities:
• Supervises day-to-day activities performed by QA Techs I and II
• Reviews and recommends QA holds, rework, and in-process adjustments
• Executes product issues, which have Material l Review Board dispositions
• Works with and supports Operation functions
• Performs batch record review and approval as outlined to product specifications
• Prepares and submits regular reports to Quality Manager by collecting, analyzing, trending and summarizing QA hold s, rework, etc
• Assists with AQL inspection on finished goods manufactured by doTERRA according to written standard operating procedures and specifications
• Works closely with manufacturing supervisors and leads to ensure collaborative problem solving as issues arise
• Complies with FDA, cGMP, NHP and other requirements enforces adherence to requirements and performs regular trainings for QA day and swing shift techs as well as production team leads to maintain continuous improvement focus
• Assists with complaints, non-conformance, material review, deviations and CAPA investigations
• Assists with the development of procedures and forms
• Serves as backup to QA Manager and QA Techs as needed

Job Qualifications:

• S.S./ B.A. degree or equivalent experience1-3 years supervisory experience and 3-5 years of QA Tech experience in a food, juice, dietary supplement, device, or drug facility
• Knowledgeable in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Document Control, label control, and retain room processes
• Knowledge and experience with applicable FDA regulation, cGMP requirements, and GLP requirements required
• Attention to detail and organization of tasks and workloads. Must be able to identify small defects
• Excellent communication skills in writing, listening, and responding with feedback within quality and production. Must be good at negotiation and conflict resolution
• Ability to write and implement standard operating procedures in warehouse facilities
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred
• Familiarity with basic computer programs: SAP preferred, Microsoft Office suite required. Work Environment: Long periods of sitting, standing, bending, and repeated lifting {35-45 lbs.)
• Moderate noise level (<75db)Manufacturing environment (clean rooms and warehouse]
