GRRS Tech is a data-driven value chain seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong experience developing and supporting Python and Spark applications within the Banking & Financial Services domain. The role involves close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to support regulatory reporting and large-scale data initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data sourcing, transformation, and lineage analysis, as well as Python/Spark and SQL-based data environments. The Software Engineer will play a key role in ensuring data quality, traceability, and consistency while contributing to enterprise data platforms and reporting solutions.
In addition to supporting the GRRS platform during US hours, the Software Engineer will contribute to the development of next-generation Agentic AI applications. Working closely with senior engineers and product teams, the role will focus on building production-grade systems using Python and modern AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot. The position emphasizes rapid iteration, clean coding practices, and consistent adherence to specification-driven development methodologies. Generally requires 5+ years of experience.
Responsibilities:
• Hands-on experience in Python programming for data analysis, transformation, and processing
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot tools, vibe coding, and specification-driven development
• Strong knowledge of Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark for large-scale data handling
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts in Python for building reusable and scalable code
• Experience integrating Python with data pipelines, APIs, and database systems
• Exposure to automating repetitive data tasks using Python scripting
• Experience working with Jupyter Notebooks/IDEs for exploratory data analysis and prototyping
• Understanding of exception handling, logging, and debugging in Python applications
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying, data extraction, and manipulation
