The Opportunity:

KBR has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Project Support Officer. In this role, you'll be at the heart of project delivery, working with senior leaders, project managers, stakeholders and Defence customers to keep complex programs moving forward. Every day will bring new challenges, opportunities to learn, and the chance to make a genuine impact.

In the role you will be overseeing all phases of planning and execution on small projects or may be tasked with managing specific segment of a larger project. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in planning, organising, coordinating, and controlling small projects in adherence to established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Oversee the execution of project plans, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Monitor and control project activities to meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
• Provide updates on project progress, address client concerns, and ensure overall client satisfaction.
• Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among team members to enhance overall project efficiency.
• Ensure projects comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and other relevant records.
• Support Project managers to write correspondence to external stakeholders/suppliers and track status of responses.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

• Qualifications in engineering or project management 
• Minimum of 2 years of related project management experience
• Strong project management skills, including planning, organisation, and coordination.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team engagement.
• Knowledge of Project governance, standards and best practices.
• Proficient in project management tools and software.
• Experience drafting and managing formal correspondence between organisations/stakeholder

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
