Job Description:

Purpose of Role:

The Project Planner supports the Project Manager and Project Controls Lead in developing, maintaining and reporting the Bluesky Project schedule. The role is an experienced contributor focused on schedule quality, milestone tracking and timely progress updates, escalating higher complexity planning issues as the need arises.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Develop, maintain and control integrated resource loaded project schedules using Primavera P6, incorporating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up activities from contractors and project stakeholders.

• Develop schedule basis documentation, scheduling procedures and practices in alignment with bp requirements and industry standards.

• Maintain schedule integrity including activity coding, calendars, logic links, constraints, milestones, critical path and schedule basis information.

• Perform schedule analysis, critical path management and support schedule risk assessments and reviews.

• Coordinate schedule progress updates with project stakeholders and ensure accurate timely incorporation of progress into project schedules.

• Identify project changes, supervise performance against approved baselines and analyse schedule variances and impacts.

• Develop schedule reports, milestone reports, dashboards and performance metrics from Primavera P6.

• Develop and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, project S-curves and spend profiles and provide planning input to cost forecasting activities.

• Provide planning and scheduling support across the project and broader KEH project portfolio as the need arises.

• Verify contractor progress claims against plan through regular site verification.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of project planning and schedule control including development and maintenance of integrated schedules, baselines, critical path, milestones and schedule integrity in Primavera P6

• Strong knowledge of schedule performance analysis including progress measurement, earned value analyses, schedule variance analysis, S-curves and forecasting of schedule outcomes.

• Strong understanding of project delivery, schedule assurance and organisational change including contractor schedule review, impact assessment, baseline management and integration across the project lifecycle. 

Demonstrated Experience 

• Significant experience in developing and handling schedules in Primavera P6 within Oil and Gas, refining or heavy industrial environments. 

• Previous experience with Power BI and IPA benchmarking desirable but not essential.
