Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role:

Join our team as a Project Manager II and take ownership of manufacturing execution for custom low-voltage switchboard programs — the highest-volume, highest-throughput line in our Power Distribution sector. These are UL 891 listed, Engineered to Order assemblies built to hyperscale customer standards, with tight delivery windows and unforgiving long-lead component exposure.

This role is about throughput and material discipline. Switchboard programs live or die on breaker and bus availability, drawing approval turnaround, and clean work packet release to the assembly line. You'll own the full production path from customer submittal approval through factory acceptance testing and shipment, across a portfolio of concurrent orders.

You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with production supervisors, test technicians, and the materials team on the floor every day. Your work directly impacts our ability to energize compute from sustainable, renewable and/or stranded energy sources.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven background in electrical equipment or industrial manufacturing, a strategic mindset, and the persistence to drive submittal cycles and supplier commitments to closure. This is a full-time position.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Switchboard Manufacturing Execution: Own assigned switchboard orders end to end — submittal approval, engineering release, material readiness, assembly, wiring, test, and shipment.

  • Submittal and Approval Cycle Ownership: Drive the customer submittal and drawing approval cycle to closure. This is the single most common source of schedule loss in electrical equipment and must be actively managed, not passively tracked.

  • Long-Lead Material Management: Manage exposure on breakers, bus, metering, instrument transformers, and enclosures with Supply Chain against firm production start dates.

  • Project Planning and Execution: Maintain the production schedule at work-order level in alignment with assembly line loading and plant capacity.

  • Strategic Change & Risk Management: Process engineering changes and customer-driven revisions through impact analysis, pricing, and approval before floor implementation; ensure BOM and routing updates follow. Maintain risk logs, action logs, RFIs, submittals and change orders.

  • Quality and Test Coordination: Partner with Quality leaders to ensure the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) is executed on time and to the applicable standards and specifications, including production testing, non-conformance closure, and customer witness testing where required.

  • Budget Reporting and Forecasting: Manage order cost performance — labor hours against estimate, material variance, and change order capture — and report against baseline. You own the accuracy of your order cost model, maintain it to the PMO reporting standard and cadence, and sign the monthly cost-to-complete position that feeds the program economics review.

  • Logistics and Delivery: Coordinate shipment readiness: final inspection, documentation package, crating, and logistics alignment with customer receiving windows.

  • Customer and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the day-to-day customer contact for assigned orders, including schedule reporting and change communication.

  • Executive Dashboard Inputs: Complete the project-level portions of the sector executive dashboard on the published cadence — schedule position, milestone status, cost and margin position, and open risk. Your inputs are what gets reported upward, so their accuracy and timeliness are yours to own.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Industry Experience — Electrical Equipment Manufacturing: Experience with low-voltage power distribution equipment: switchboards, panelboards, bus systems, protective devices, and metering.

  • Building Code & Electrical Code Knowledge: Competent in electrical code knowledge for collaboration with the in-house engineering department, manufacturing technicians, and customer engineers of record.

  • Project Management Experience: Minimum of 3+ years managing projects within the electrical equipment, construction, engineering and/or manufacturing industry.

  • Bachelor of Science: BS in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management or a closely related field.

  • Engineering & Constructability Competency: Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, elevation drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams, weigh in on aspects of designs, and advise on risks associated with design decisions. We are looking for someone to add value from an “I have to build this” perspective to provide productive feedback to our engineering group.

  • Submittal Cycle Management: Demonstrated experience managing customer submittal and approval cycles as a controlled schedule activity with aging and escalation.

  • Supply Chain Judgment: Experience managing long-lead material risk in a constrained supply environment.

  • Schedule Development & Management: Proficient with programs such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Monday.com or Primavera P6.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Experience with manufacturing ERP systems like SAP or Visual; experience with Acumatica is preferred.

  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Bonus Points:

  • Direct experience with UL 891 switchboard manufacturing or UL 1558 switchgear.

  • Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and applicable ANSI/IEEE standards for LV distribution equipment.

  • Experience supplying hyperscale data center or mission-critical customers.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.

  • Lean or continuous improvement experience on an assembly line.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages

  • Restricted Stock Units

  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs

  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance

  • Employer contributions to HSA account

  • Paid parental leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
