Why we're hiring:
Responsible for supporting and delivering transformation projects and initiatives for Technology Operations across the APAC region, with a strong emphasis on applying standardized project management methodologies, robust stakeholder engagement, and strict adherence to portfolio governance. Reporting into the regional Portfolio Management Office (PMO), the position ensures all initiatives are aligned with WPP’s global, regional, and agency-specific priorities, consistently delivering measurable value through effective execution and governance
What you'll be doing:
Project Management
- Ensure the effective management and successful delivery of transformation and run projects by adhering to best practices outlined by the Global TechOps Portfolio Office, guaranteeing that all project objectives and milestones are achieved efficiently.
- Lead comprehensive project planning and demand forecasting activities, ensuring these processes are fully integrated with established portfolio governance frameworks.
- Proactively address and resolve project prioritisation challenges and conflicting demands within the PMO portfolio to maintain project momentum and delivery timelines.
Project Methodology, Governance & Tooling
- Maintain a capability alignment with the PMO Lead to ensure consistency in project delivery, transformation methodologies, and reporting standards across regions.
- Embed best practices and tools provided by the global Strategy & Transformation function into project execution.
- Ensure seamless execution of transformation programmes using the Transformation Delivery Lifecycle, balancing global and local priorities.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Strengthen cross functional collaboration, working closely with the Heads of Infrastructure & Operations, End User Services, and Modern Workplace, to ensure alignment and integration of transformation projects across all TechOps domains.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across WPP agencies and central functions.
Team
- Actively contribute to fostering a safe, collaborative and high-performing team culture within the PMO and wider Strategy & Transformation team.
Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestments
- Provide Project Management support to mergers, acquisitions, and divestments requirements in the region.
- Ensure delivery is aligned to the Globally defined MA&D processes and standards
What you'll need:
- Strong project and program delivery experience, utilizing multiple delivery methods including agile delivery
- Strong understanding of technology operations, digital innovation, and enterprise IT governance.
- Demonstrated success in leading change and adoption at scale.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at C-suite level.
- Experience working across diverse markets in APAC, with cultural sensitivity and regional insight.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive clarity in fast-paced environments.
Success Measures
- Delivery of strategic initiatives and projects aligned to WPP’s business goals using the Transformation Delivery Lifecycle.
- Strong engagement and alignment with regional and global leadership.
- Effective collaboration with peer leaders to deliver integrated outcomes across TechOps.
- Consistent reporting of progress using Wrike.
