About your job
In this role, you’re responsible for strategic and tactical procurement activities within assigned projects and categories. Your primary focus is to lead and coordinate procurement work within the Solva project, while maintaining full responsibility for subcontracting and direct materials. You work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient procurement processes, strong supplier relationships, and compliance with applicable policies and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Offer & Innovation, Seco Solva, I-Hubs, the sales organization, and other stakeholders throughout the quotation and project phases.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on business needs and procurement strategies.
- Manage sourcing activities, prepare agreements, and negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor supplier performance in quality, cost, and delivery precision, and drive continuous improvements.
- Handle supplier-related matters and support the organization in contract and supplier management issues.
- Contribute to risk management, process development, and procurement strategy initiatives together with global category managers and strategic buyers.
Location and flexibility
The position is based in Fagersta, combining office presence with the opportunity for remote work.
Your profile
You have strong business acumen and thrive in a role that combines analysis, collaboration, and negotiation. Experience in international procurement and working with diverse stakeholders provides a solid foundation for success. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English and feel comfortable operating in a global organization.
Your background includes
- Experience in international procurement within an industrial or similar business environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term supplier relationships.
- Experience working with sourcing processes, contracts, and supplier evaluations.
- Good knowledge of Office 365.
- A university degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
