Transportation Coordinator 

Location: Bengaluru, APAC Reports to: Workplace Manager or Transportation Services Lead

Position Summary

The Transportation Coordinator manages comprehensive employee transportation programs for Stripe's Bengaluru location, ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient commuting services. This role oversees shuttle operations, manages vendor relationships, and optimizes transportation solutions that enhance the employee experience while supporting sustainability objectives. The position serves as the primary transportation resource, coordinating daily operations while continuously improving service quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily shuttle operations including route planning, scheduling, and capacity management 
• Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure service quality and reliability 
• Process transportation requests and manage seat allocation systems 
• Monitor on-time performance and address service disruptions proactively 
• Conduct regular safety and quality inspections of transportation vehicles and services Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures for employee commuting Manage transportation vendor relationships and ensure contract compliance 
• Analyze transportation data to optimize routes, schedules, and resource allocation Respond to employee queries and concerns regarding transportation services 
• Support special transportation requirements for events and visitors 
• Maintain accurate records of transportation utilization, costs, and performance metrics Implement safety protocols for all transportation services 
• Coordinate with security teams on transportation security requirements 
• Process vendor invoices and validate service delivery 
• Support sustainability initiatives related to transportation and commuting 
• Prepare regular reports on transportation services performance 
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for transportation programs 
• Coordinate emergency transportation services during disruptions or special circumstances

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration, or related field 
• 3+ years of experience in transportation coordination, fleet management, or related role Knowledge of transportation operations and shuttle management 
• Experience with vendor management and performance monitoring 
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 
• Excellent communication skills in both English and local language(s) 
• Proficiency with transportation scheduling tools and reporting systems 
• Problem-solving abilities with capacity to handle service disruptions 
• Experience analyzing transportation data and optimizing routes 
• Knowledge of transportation safety protocols and compliance requirements 
• Customer service orientation with focus on employee experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in corporate transportation management or employee commuting programs Background in transportation or logistics in the Bengaluru region 
• Knowledge of local transportation regulations and requirements 
• Experience with sustainable transportation planning and carbon reduction initiatives Background in transportation technology platforms and booking systems 
• Experience in technology company environments or similar corporate settings Knowledge of transportation cost optimization strategies 
• Background in continuous improvement methodologies 
• Experience managing multiple transportation vendors 
• Knowledge of emergency management protocols related to transportation 
• Background in employee satisfaction measurement and service improvement
