This position reports to:
Production Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.
This role is contributing to the EL Smart power business in Xiamen China .

This role is contributing to the EL Smart power business in Xiamen China .
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Organizes and allocates resources to effectively and efficiently meet line production targets. Responds to resource issues as necessary. Leads capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned unit or line. Collaborate with other supervisors to balance capacity vs demand.
- Ensures that production scheduling and production plan meets the volume requirements agreed in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.
- Identifies and recommends technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
- Ensures execution of volume, conforming product, and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines.
- Identifies deficiencies in production area, proposes improvement activities, and oversees implementation of actions to improve production performance.
- Manages the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.
- Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
- Promotes and develops safety actively and ensures that safety guidelines are followed.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor degree or above, major in electromechanical/automation background is preferable. At least 2 years experiences in Production management or Industry Engineering;
- Switchgear /Breaker Manufacture Experience is preferable, familiar with switchgear assembly process
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing process and latest production and technologies, such as lean manufacturing, 5S, quality gate
- Fluent Chinese and good English both written and oral
- Good communication skills
- Ability to provide strong leadership and supervision of a team
- Ability to motivate and empower team members
- Ability to work independently and to take accountability
- Ability to use office software and SAP proficiently
